RIE I Fundamentals: THEORY AND OBSERVATION
An
Opportunity to Train at the Original Home of RIE
in Silverlake, California
This
course is for students, parents (including expectant), and professionals
who want to develop and deepen their understanding of infant development
and care. RIE I training can be applied in settings such as the natural
family, the child care center, and family child care. The course includes
lectures, discussions. videos, visits to infant care centers, and a unique
opportunity to observe RIE parent\infant classes at the original home
of RIE. The course is facilitated by an RIE Associate, with support from
RIE III Interns fulfilling their certification training requirements.
The $940.00 tuition for the course includes a one year basic RIE membership.

overview of the RIE philosophy
w Gross motor, fine motor, and social-emotional
development
w Designing the environment
w The art of observation
w Parents' and infants' needs, expectations,
and learning
w Appropriate "curriculum" for
infants and toddlers
