The purpose of this new edition is to describe and illustrate the unfolding of natural unassisted gross motor development in infants. It is being published to fill a need in the United States to augment existing texts which do not differentiate between natural motor development and assisted or evoked motor responses in infants.

Unfolding of Infants’ Natural Gross Motor Development can inspire those of all disciplines who work with infants to be able to foster better gross motor development in infants by clarifying through descriptions and illustrations the basic process of how babies are naturally able to move well without assistance.
